2012-2013 Grant Wood SINA Action Plan
 

Goals:

1. During the 2012-2013 school year, Grant Wood students will increase the percent of 3-5 grade students scoring in the proficient and advanced standard score range on the Iowa Assessment Reading test by 3% based on the 2011-12 baseline data.

2. By June of 2013, students at Grant Wood elementary will demonstrate improved behavior as evidenced by a 3% decrease in office referrals in common areas and the classroom setting compared to 2011-2012 (implementation of PBIS).

3. During the 2012-2013 school year, Grant Wood students will increase the percent of 3-5 grade students scoring in the proficient and advanced standard score range on the Iowa Assessment Mathematics test by 3% based on the 2011-12 baseline data.

4. During the 2012-2013 school year, Grant Wood grade level teams will use the Process for Common Assessments as the PLC framework.  Teachers will clarify the SLEs, determine proficiency, develop and implement formative assessments, and analyze student results to determine next steps for quality core instruction.  Grade level teams will focus on alignment of Iowa Core standards, characteristics of effective instruction, and assessment to improve student achievement.

5. B By the end of the 2012-2013 school year, Grant Wood Elementary will increase the percentage of students proficient in the reading test or math test by 3% as measured by the reading subtest or math subtest of the Iowa Assessment using National Standard Score (NSS).  Achievement of the (Low SES, African American, Special Education, ELL) sub-group will increase by 5 %more than “all” students.
