Mrs. Tamara Dallege – Art
Mrs. Tamara Dallege
I can’t remember a time I wasn’t filled with a passion for the arts. Immersed in science, visual art, vocal music and theater throughout my school career, as an adult, I began my life working as a professional artist/sculptor and graphic designer. I went to college twice. Once, just out of high school and before becoming a wife and mother of three little boys. I returned when my youngest began school for a degree in fine art and education, graduating from Coe College. Go Kohawks! The concept of a career sharing my passion for art was so exciting! I came to Grant Wood Elementary in 2011 and feel fortunate to work with wonderful colleagues, parents and students in the Griffin community. I strive to instill in children the skills to be independent thinkers, efficient problem solvers and creative individuals. I truly believe in the value of a strong fine arts education.
My three “little” boys are now teenagers, towering over me. They are deeply involved in the vocal and instrumental programs at their schools. We live in a century old home with our adopted rescue dogs and the neighborhood kitty that seems to have adopted us. Our time is spent at orchestra festivals, show choir competitions, concerts, gallery openings, and possibly catching the latest sci-fi flick at the theater.
