Mrs. Megan Goldensoph
Hello! Welcome to my classroom! My name is Megan Goldensoph, and I teach third grade here at Grant Wood Elementary. I began my teaching career in 1999 teaching in West Liberty. After taking a year off to have my first child, I began teaching at Grant Wood in 2006 and have been here ever since. I love working here at Grant Wood! The staff, students, and parents make it an enjoyable place to work. The collaboration between parents and staff make it easier to do what is best for the students. I knew I wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl. The first time I lined up all my stuffed animals and gave them a lesson on their ABCs I knew what was in store for my future. So, I graduated in 1999 from the University of Iowa. Go Hawkeyes! I have previously taught reading and fourth/fifth grade, but mostly third grade. I have to admit that third grade rocks! My family and I have lived in Cedar Rapids since 2006. My husband, Cory, is an attorney with his own practice here in Cedar Rapids. We have two redheaded children (Our “Little Weasleys”). Both of them have personalities to match their hair color. We also have two cats, Amazon and Brazil and a dog named Buttercup.
