Trimester 1 Reading Power Standards/I can Statements
 

  • I can refer to details and examples in a text when explaining what the text says explicitly and when drawing inferences.
  • I can know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words.


Trimester 1 Math Power Standards/I can Statements
 

  •  I can read and write multi-digit whole numbers using numerals, number names, and expanded form (up to 1,000,000).
  •  I can multiply  four-digit number by a one-digit number and two-digit numbers and explain my reasoning. (equations, area model, arrays, etc.)

Trimester 2 Reading & Math Standards

Reading:
 

  • I can refer to details and examples in a text when explaining what the text says explicitly and when drawing
  • inferences from the text.
  • I can determine the main idea of a text and explain how it is supported by key details; summarize the text.
  • I can demonstrates understanding of figurative language, word relationships, and nuances in word meanings.


Math:
 

  • I can divide four-digit numbers by one-digit numbers to find a whole number quotient with/without remainders and explain my reasoning.
  • I can explain using models that two fractions can be equal due to different sizes and/or numbers of parts of the whole.
  • I can multiply a four-digit number by a one-digit number and two two-digit numbers and explain my reasoning.

Trimester 3 Reading & Math Standards
